Pam (to spray the pie pan)
1 pastry crust (any store bought one will work)
2 cups sugar with 2tbls removed
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 cup of flour
1/2 cup of melted unsalted butter (1 stick)
3 eggs lightly beaten
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1st Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
Spray Pam on bottom of pie pan or lightly grease then sprinkle a little bit of flour (this makes it easy to cut and serve the pie) then add in pastry shell.

Next in a large bowl mix sugar, salt, flour and melted butter. After that add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla extract. Mix all the ingredients really good and pour into pie pan.

Bake in over for 45 to 60 minutes until pie is set (time may vary based on ovens).

After pie is done let cool and then place in fridge and serve chilled.

Super yummy!

This is southern treat that has been passed down in the Bolton house and is always served during the holidays. The recipe was pasted down to me a few years ago when I joined the family.

It's a super sweet custard pie and taste best when you eat it chilled and for breakfast.

Enjoy!
