Batter Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, 1 cup sour cream
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
dash of salt

Topping Ingredients:
(If you're like me you will increase the topping amounts by double. i luv this stuff)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup nuts
3/4 tsp. cinnamon

Mix butter and sugar until creamy, then add remaining ingredients. Mix well and place half of the batter in a greased and floured bundt pan. Sprinkle half of the topping mixture over first layer of batter. Then carefully pour remaining batter on top, and finish off with remaining topping mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for 35-40 minutes (or until toothpick comes out clean).

A few words of advise:
Stay far away from any of those lo-cal sugar substitutes or that yucky stuff called margarine, all those chemical are sure to kill ya. Stick with the originals. Make sure you buy your dry goods from my uncle Mickey (Blue eyes) he owns the Irish mini-mart over on Colonial. Just let him know your making the the family coffee cake recipe and I'm sure he won't charge you much, although knowing him he could charge you double. The sour cream has to come from my Aunt Lucy's sheep farm on the Isle of White, yes Ireland, not the isle Tiger Wood's lives on in Orlando. That's where you get the good stuff, not like what you get here. Make sure to call my Aunt Patricia and she'll have my nephew Conan run over there and get the message to her because she still doesn't have working phones since the bootlegging incident. The eggs are next, and the key is getting them fresh. The best eggs come from a place called Oviedo, FL, their known for free range chickens roaming county route 419, this is truly a place where automobiles yield to our feathered friends, they rule the town. The cows hate them. When it comes to the nuts, well let's just say my family has that covered. My preference though is walnuts and chestnuts really only work well in a holiday musical score. To really enjoy the fruits of your labor cut the cake while it's hot, slather it with real butter and pour yourself a 1/4 Cup O' Joe and finish it with 3/4 of a cup of Bailey's Irish Cream. It's a mouthful of Christmas.

Have a very Merry Christmas and enjoy.
